J.R. Love brings nearly a decade of experience in economic development and community engagement to fill the newly created position of assistant director at the university’s Office of Economic Development and Insight Park.
J.R. Love, a Glen Allan native, has a robust academic background; he holds degrees from Mississippi State University, Delta State University, and Kansas State University. Love has served the Grisham-McLean Institute for Public Service and Community Engagement since 2015, contributing significantly to the Catalyzing Entrepreneurship and Economic Development initiative. Additionally, he has collaborated with the Mississippi Development Authority and several local, regional, and state economic development organizations, demonstrating his aptitude for fostering partnerships and driving innovative solutions.
“I’m excited to take on this new role and build upon the strong foundation of economic and community initiatives already in place at the university,” Love said. “I plan to further strengthen partnerships and drive innovative solutions that create meaningful impact throughout Mississippi.”
Insight Park at the University of Mississippi exists with the mission of providing a dynamic research park within which businesses can tap into opportunities such as collaborative research and academic resource utilization. This bustling hub invites companies intending to commercialize Ole Miss research and collaborate with the university to maximize their business through its invaluable resources.
