An atmospheric river fueled by warm and humid conditions in the Southeast is expected to bring heavy rain and snow to the Northwest. Locations from San Francisco to Portland reported damaging winds, reaching up to 150 mph in some high elevations and 50 mph at lower elevations. Residents in these areas could see up to 6 inches of rain and 3 feet of snow in the mountains. Wind gusts have warned many to take the necessary precautions as the weather system continues to evolve.
