Supervisors Approve Site Plans for Business and Subdivisions in Oxford

The County Line Grill and Various Subdivisions Get Green Light from Supervisors

Following a regular Monday meeting, the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors have granted approvals for several preliminary and final site plans. Notably, among the approved projects are the County Line Grill, a new dining venture set to be situated on Highway 310. The restaurant, located near the Panola County line, has obtained final site plan approval from the board. Owners Rickey and Penny Roberts can now proceed with their venture, enriching Oxford’s gastronomic landscape.

Final Commercial Subdivision Approval for Old Oaks of Oxford

The Old Oaks of Oxford on County Road 217 (Campground Road) also received a nod from the Board for its Phase 10 final commercial subdivision plat. This final phase encompasses a total of 19 lots. Commending the Old Oaks’ conduct and success, Joel Hollowell, the Director of Development Services, acclaimed, “They have been very exemplary on how they’ve handled their business out there, and it’s going well for them.”

Subdivisions Flourishing with Approvals

Merion Subdivision Marches into Phase 2

The Merion subdivision, recipient of a conditional use permit for a 146-lot subdivision in 2021, is further expanding. Having finalized approval for an initial 49 lots as part of its Phase 1 development in July 2023, the Merion subdivision has now secured approval for its Phase 2 preliminary subdivision plat. “Sales are going well for them,” affirmed Hollowell, disclosing that as of May 17, the subdivision has sold 21 houses, with many more under construction or planned. The Phase 2 expansion is expected to comprise an additional 57 lots.

Pine Crest Cove Subdivision Gets the Go-Ahead

The Board granted its approval on both the preliminary and final site plan for the Pine Crest Cove subdivision off CR 217. The developer’s blueprint envisions an array of 15 one-bedroom homes and 15 two-bedroom homes, offering newcomers a range of choices for settling in the idyllic Oxford County.
