The day was crowned with experiences ranging from live music, artistic classes, and farmer’s markets to a profusion of dining and drinking hours featuring a spectrum of sumptuous food and refreshments.

Culinary Delights in the Heart of Oxford

With more than 20 food and drink establishments on deck, patrons had a multitude of choices to satisfy their palate. Ajax Diner, a much-loved eating house at 118 Courthouse Sq, offered a fulfilling lunch service from 11 am to 9 pm, while Big Bad Breakfast extended its heartening breakfast menu from 8 am to 2:30 pm. On North Lamar Blvd, Bouré remained open for a ribbon of time: from 11 am to 10:30 pm, even as its upstairs bar continued to accommodate patrons until 1 am.

The foodies also had access to delicious bites at Funkys Pizza & Daiquiri Bar, The Library, and The Mad Hatter among others. Many outlets, such as Ollie’s Do-nuts and Opa!, offered delivery options powered by Fetcht and Take a Break, enhancing the ease of access for their customers.

Happy Hour: Twice the Merriment

Many eateries, bars, and tavernas in the city celebrated the customary “happy hour” to the delight of their patrons. Owing to this, attendees could appreciate significant value for money on their orders. City Grocery expanded its happy hour between 4 pm and 6 pm, offering $1 off wells and domestics. The Library and Volta Taverna followed suit, drastically cutting the prices of drinks and cocktails. SoLa catered to the margarita lovers, offering fresh-squeezed Margaritas at just $5 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Live Entertainment: A Feast for the Ears

Beyond food and drinks, Saturday in Oxford was pulsating with diverse entertainment activities. The Library invited the music band, NEUTRAL SNAP, to perform live for the audience, while The Mad Hatter hosted DUELING PIANOS from 7 pm to midnight.

At the same time, Rafters Oxford and Rafters on the Water were buzzing with DJ DRUMM and JIMBO MATHUS playing lively tracks from dawn until dusk, serving a visual and auditory delight to the patrons.

Unwinding: More Than Just Food and Music

Kids and adults had the opportunity to explore their creativity in the ‘Create with Wild Pigments’ session held at the Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library. The Mid-Town Farmer’s Market was also bustling with visitors in the morning, offering a fresh and wholesome start to the day.
