Tuesday, July 9, 2024 – An extraordinary meeting convened by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Oxford, Mississippi. The board congregated on the second floor courtroom of City Hall at 9 a.m. Mayor Robyn Tannehill led the session, with some commission members joining via teleconference, maintaining compliance with the City of Oxford Code of Ordinances Section 2-82 and Section 21-3-21 of Mississippi Code of 1972 Annotated.
The special meeting sought to address critical city matter. Following is the sequence of discussion points on the agenda:

A primary focus of the meeting was Change Order #1 for the Downtown Regional Detention Project, which is seen as a significant development for the community. The proposal awaited the Board’s approval and additional details were forthcoming.
As part of its pledge to accessibility, the city offered auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities upon twenty-four (24) hours request. Individuals who needed such assistance were asked to contact Braxton Tullos, the City of Oxford’s ADA Coordinator.
