Oxford’s Thriving Culinary and Entertainment Scene Offers a Variety of Food, Drink and Special Offers on a Bustling Friday Night

Oxford Offers a Delicious Spread of Food, Drink and Entertainment

Oxford’s culinary and entertainment scene was teeming with life on Friday, April 12, 2024, providing locals and tourists with an array of food and drink options to suit every palate. From the hearty homestyle meals at Ajax Diner to the savory donuts at Ollie’s Do-nuts, the city catered to every food preference.

Big Bad Breakfast lived up to their name with a spread of delectable morning bites available for the early risers from 7 am-1 pm. Over at Bouré, the food service started at 11 am and ran until 10:30 pm. Patrons could also quench their thirst at the upstairs bar that stayed open until 1 am.

Fans of Greek cuisine flocked to Opa! which served an array of Mediterranean delights from 11 am – 10 pm. The bar continued to remain open well into the night, entertaining patrons with the live performance of Andrew Delmastro from 6-8:30 pm. Customers could also enjoy $5 margaritas all day long.

A Variety of Tantalizing Specials

Friday offered a variety of special offers to the food lovers of Oxford. Quack’s Dogs offered a tantalizing ‘FREE FRI-DAY’ where customers could enjoy a free side of fries with the purchase of any dog. Moe’s held Happy Hour between 3–6 pm, during which appetizers were half-priced and beverages were available at 2-for-1.

The Snackbar also offered a Happy Hour between 4–6 pm, offering $2 domestics, $4 drafts, $6 select wines, $8 select classic cocktails, and specials on small plates & oysters. Over at Tallahatchie Gourmet, food service extended from 11 am – 9 pm, enticing customers not only with their gourmet offerings but also their home delivery service.

Filling the Night with Fun and Entertainment

Along with a variety of food options, the night was filled with a myriad of entertainment options. Over at Swayze Field, the Ole Miss Baseball team faced off against Mississippi State at 7 pm. The Mad Hatter offered a thrilling dueling pianos show from 7-11 pm. Rafters was buzzing with the music from DJ Drumm while Rooster’s was rocking all night long courtesy of Garrett Oswalt. Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library hosted a fun-filled book club meeting at 4 pm.
