Oxford’s Economic Development Foundation Eyes Future Growth

OXFORD – In what he describes as a “season of recalibration,” Ryan Miller, new CEO of the Oxford Lafayette Economic Development Foundation, is focusing on how to steer the organization toward future success. His message emphasizes the need for a clearer strategy as the foundation prepares its master plan for the coming years.

Miller, who has a strong connection to the Oxford community, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi in 2002, obtaining a degree in international studies. He continued his education, earning a law degree in 2008. Before stepping into the role of CEO at the development foundation this past March, he played a crucial role in launching and leading the Community and Economic Development group from its inception until 2021. He then went on to serve as the executive director of Accelerate Mississippi, positioning him well for his current position.

Focus on Master Planning

According to Miller, the aim of this recalibration is to define the foundation’s goals and identify the necessary steps to achieve them effectively. “We want to create a roadmap for the next several years that is not only practical but also visionary,” he stated.
