KD Hill Returns to Oxford for Big Community Gathering
Oxford, MS – Over a year after a life-changing incident, former Ole Miss football star, KD Hill, is using his renewed strength and deep faith to give back to the community that supported him. Hill will be hosting ‘KD’s Fun Day’ this Saturday, an event dedicated to bringing the residents of Oxford together for a day of joy and unity.
A Year Ago, a Life Twice Changed
Last year, on July 21, 2023, Hill’s life turned upside down when he lost his leg in a tragic vehicle accident. However, instead of retreating from the world, Hill invested his energy into healing, ultimately using his transformative experience and unyielding faith to provide solace to others. Once a regular visitor at Oxford Housing Authority neighborhoods, he would engage in pleasant chitchats with kids and partake in football tosses. This special connection continues, as he returns to Oxford with a heart full of gratitude and a mindset focused on community outreach.
A Special Day in July
On Saturday, Hill will host ‘KD’s Fun Day’ from 2 to 6 p.m. at Avent Park. This free event, catered especially for the children of Oxford Housing Authority, is expected to become a day of fun and frolic. Food, music, snow cones, various games, and face painting are just some of the many exciting activities lined up for the event. Moreover, to ensure everybody from the OHA neighborhoods makes it to Avent Park, transportation facilities will also be provided.
The KD Hill Foundation
Hill founded ‘The KD Hill Foundation’ earlier this year as part of his ongoing efforts to give back to society. Now officially recognized as a 501c3, the Foundation’s mission is to facilitate aid and support for communities across the U.S., with future plans of extending their reach globally.
