Officials have announced plans to erect a new trampoline park behind the Wink Tumbling Academy, giving children in the local community an exciting new space to burn off their boundless energy. The owners of Wink Tumbling Academy, who are recognised for offering competitive tumbling, cheer, and gymnastics classes, have planned this novel project to be fully operational in the coming months.
The land that houses the Wink Academy was purchased a few years back by Morgan Winkel, the mastermind behind this innovative plan. Positioned conveniently off Highway 6 East, not far from County Road 105, its previous avatar was the old Pirate Adventures.
The charm of the new trampoline park is that unlike other such places located further north in Mississippi and Memphis, it won’t be a franchise. This means that local residents won’t have to undertake long 50-minute car rides anymore to find a place to jump and bounce around. The park aims to be a massive 20,000 square foot land of frolic featuring 10 exciting attractions!
Attractions will vary greatly and offer something fun for everyone. Some of them include a battle beam, a climbing wall, dodge ball, and a ninja course. Furthermore, the park will also incorporate a main trampoline court and a separate enclosed area conveniently designed for the safety of children ages 4 and under, thus ensuring they do not mix with older kids.
Industry professionals will oversee the design and installation of the park to guarantee the highest safety levels. Besides the action-packed fun zone, Morgan Winkel also revealed plans to host a full-service kitchen and possibly a comfortable bar area for the adults to relax upstairs.
Construction is set to kick off in September, under the helm of Brandon Crumpler, a seasoned contractor, and Winkel’s business associate. If all goes according to plan, Winkel hopes to have the park up and running by early 2025.
Interestingly, while approving the site plan for the park last week, the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors declared that construction cannot commence until a new private road off County Road 105 is constructed. This novel road is understood to be a part of the development scheme for Roundabout Oxford RV Resort.
Once this road is established, it will streamline access to both the Wink Tumbling Academy and the trampoline park by simply turning onto CR 105 and then left onto this new private road. It will also provide a more streamlined access route to Roundabout Oxford. Construction of this new private road is currently underway.
The announcement of this new trampoline park has revived fervour among the residents, promising an exhilarating new addition to the community. Families are already eager to sample the proposed blend of athletic movement, fun, and trampoline-induced adrenaline in this soon-to-be bustling playground.
