Sponsor Our ArticlesOxford, Mississippi, is buzzing with excitement as the newest Chick-fil-A restaurant is set to open its doors on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. This eagerly anticipated addition to the community will be located at 800 Sisk Avenue and will be the second Chick-fil-A location owned by local entrepreneur Lance Reed.
Chick-fil-A East Oxford will be open for guests from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dine-in and carry-out services, Monday through Saturday. For those who prefer a drive-thru experience, the drive-thru will operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the same days of the week.
One of the standout features of the new restaurant is the Mobile Thru, which is a special lane in the drive-thru specifically designed for guests who order via the Chick-fil-A app. This ensures a quicker and more efficient pickup experience.
Before embarking on his journey as a Chick-fil-A owner-operator, Lance Reed, alongside his wife, Amanda, spent years devoted to charitable and humanitarian work. Although Lance was initially apprehensive about starting a business, he saw this venture as a way to continue making a positive impact in Oxford. For the past 15 years, he has successfully operated the Chick-fil-A on West Jackson Avenue, which he continues to run alongside the new location.
“Having the opportunity to bring the first Chick-fil-A to this community has been nothing short of a gift,” Reed stated. “In the last 15 years, my Team Members and I have had the privilege of building strong relationships while aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Reflecting his commitment to the community, Reed looks forward to continuing the restaurant’s annual Princess Ball, a cherished event where fathers and daughters create lasting memories together.
To commemorate the grand opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will make a $25,000 donation to Feeding America, an initiative aimed at combating hunger in the Memphis area. This contribution will be shared among various local partners.
The Chick-fil-A East Oxford will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program. This initiative focuses on redirecting surplus food from the restaurant to local organizations like soup kitchens, shelters, and food banks. To date, the program has facilitated the creation of over 25 million meals through donations from more than 2,000 Chick-fil-A locations in the United States and Canada.
In a show of appreciation for the unsung heroes of the Oxford community, the new restaurant will recognize 100 local heroes by offering them free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year. This effort aims to uplift those who are making a significant impact in the area.
As the opening date approaches, residents of Oxford are encouraged to stay updated on news and events related to Chick-fil-A East Oxford by visiting the restaurant’s social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.
As the anticipation builds, the new Chick-fil-A is set to become another delightful spot for Oxford locals and visitors alike, continuing the brand’s tradition of serving delicious food with a side of community spirit.
