Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi welcomes its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Ms. Robyn Dorris. Recently appointed, Dorris replaced the retired Dana Williams, who rendered service to Baptist for a remarkable period of 34 years.
Dorris, a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accountancy. With more than a decade of experience serving the healthcare industry in Mississippi and Tennessee, she is prepared to contribute her wealth of knowledge and expertise to Baptist North Mississippi.
Her journey in the healthcare sector began in 2013, at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare’s corporate finance department. Ever since her graduation, Dorris was certain about making a significant impact on her community and believed the most effective way was through aiding the financial successes of healthcare establishments.
Excited about her new role, Dorris stated, “I am thrilled to join the Baptist North Mississippi team and continue the great work this team achieves to support the patients, families, and community we serve. The culture, attitude, and compassion of all who serve here inspire those of us who work along. Their enthusiasm for serving others creates a positive healing environment.”
Brian Welton, CEO and Administrator at Baptist North Mississippi, expressed his pleasure at welcoming Robyn onboard. “Her strong financial background and understanding of healthcare’s financial challenges will serve us well. We look forward to her expertise and guidance as we aim to maintain our financial stability. This stability is crucial as we continue to invest in new services, equipment, and facilities for the families we care for and our community,” Welton said.
Once the work opportunity at Baptist North Mississippi Hospital presented itself, Dorris and her family were certain that this was the correct step for them. As an ‘Ole Miss’ graduate, Dorris has a special connection with Oxford. Now married and mother to two young sons, she is eager for her family to enjoy and appreciate the town as much as she id.”
“As a family, we would spend every weekend in Oxford and leave on Sundays wishing we could reside here and raise our children in this small town that nurtures them with a loving community,” Dorris expressed.
