North Mississippi Gears Up for Legendary Hill Country Blues Picnic this June

The charming town of Oxford, Mississippi, is priming itself for the arrival of a remarkable two-day event – the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic. Scheduled for the 28th and 29th of June, 2024, the festival has been designed to inspire, educate, and entertain music enthusiasts from across the nation.

The North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic aims to boost appreciation and understanding of the North Mississippi Hill Country Blues, a native music genre rooted within the state. With a lineup ranging from phenomenal local talents to renowned International musicians, the festival ambitiously seeks to preserve and interpret this niche music form through live performances.

The festival is a confluence of wonderful music, delightful food, camping fun and more over an eventful two-day schedule. Beginning on Thursday, June 27, at 5:00 pm, the festival promises an array of unforgettable live performances all the way till midnight on both Friday and Saturday. With artists such as Eric Deaton, Kenny Brown, and Robert Kimbrough Sr. in the lineup, the event guarantees an electrifying experience for visitors.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic are available for purchase online until midnight of June 24. All tickets at the gate will be sold for cash only. VIP tickets also need to be bought online by midnight 6/24/2024. Apart from these, camping tickets are available for flat-rate $15 per person, to cover 1 to 3 nights of camping at the festival site.

Essential Information for Attendees

Visitors are encouraged to bring essential items such as bug spray, water, and rain gear among others. However, the organizers have prohibited several items including weapons, glass containers, motorized vehicles, and professional photography equipment for safety reasons.
