In a recent announcement, the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council has introduced Madalyn Huey as its new Events and Sponsorships Coordinator. The Council made a successful move employing Madalyn, who boasts a decorated background in integrated marketing, communications, and event planning.
A recent graduate from the University of Mississippi, Madalyn holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications. Her professional acumen lies not only in promoting job opportunities for students but also in creating compelling content, managing social media platforms, and organizing impactful events.
In her previous stint at the University of Mississippi Career Center, Madalyn played a significant role in planning and executing career fairs, managing social media networks, and advertising job opportunities for students. Her strategic event marketing initiatives were commendable as they resulted in a 40% increase in attendance at career fairs, resulting in increased utilization of Career Center services.
Engaging a distinguished role as the Public Relations Director for the IMC Connect! Conference at the School of Journalism and New Media, Madalyn shone brightly. Responsible for event logistics, mobilizing over $10,000 in sponsorships, coordinating Whova – the event management app and creating visually compelling promotional materials, she left a memorable impact. With a hands-on experience in event planning and content creation for social media and email campaigns, her tenure as the Marketing Assistant at the Ed and Becky Meek Foundation further adds to her impressive career portfolio.
