Bid for the Final Phase of West Oxford Loop Extension Approved
In a momentous development, the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors, during its regular meeting, approved a bid for the final phase of the West Oxford Loop Extended on Monday morning. Selecting the ‘lowest and best’ bid
Six different companies submitted their bids for the project, ranging from $7.8 million to $8.5 million. However, as per the law, the county must select the ‘lowest and best’ bid among them. In this particular case, this accolade belonged to STE-BIL Grading from Waterford, whose proposal came with a promising tag of $7.8 million. Unfortunately, two of the six submitted bids had to be rejected due to their incompleteness.

The West Oxford Loop project is a path-breaking venture in association with Oxford, Lafayette County, and the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).
