The renowned Ajax Diner at 118 Courthouse Square served lunch from 11 am to 2:30 pm and dinner from 4:30 to 9 pm, offering their inimitable Southern comfort food accompanied by delivery service.

Bouré

Continuing the culinary journey, Bouré at 309 North Lamar Blvd, was open from 11 am to 10:30 pm with its upstairs bar opening from 4 pm to midnight. Popular for its New Orleans-inspired menu, the eatery did not disappoint.

Elsewhere, Funky’s Pizza & Daiquiri Bar beckoned patrons with a special $5 Grape Gatorade offer. Meanwhile, The Library at 120 South 11th St presented an enticing happy hour from 3–7 pm offering $1 off all drinks.

At Ollie’s Do-nuts on 2151 South Lamar Blvd, early birds could delight from 5:30 am till 1 pm in its range of freshly baked goodies. Other establishments like Uno Mas Tacos y Tequila celebrated Taco Tuesday with half-price appetizers and house margaritas at just $5 ($20 per pitcher).

Entertainment in Oxford

In addition to food and drink, Oxford provided a variety of entertainment options. The day was marked by an exciting baseball match at Southern Miss and trivia at Moe’s at 7 pm. In terms of evening entertainment, Rooster’s turned into a stage for budding artists with an Open Mic Night. Those longing for entertainment paired with a nice drink could enjoy 2-for-1 drinks alongside the live performances.
