On the morning of April 21, an alarmed resident rang in a report of a burglary in progress at a shed located on County Road 504. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office quickly dispatched a deputy to the scene, where the victim stated they had seen 37-year-old Nathan Daugherty fleeing the area with a chainsaw in his possession.
Swift Response and Arrest
Upon receiving the information, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s deputy immediately sprung into action. The deputy managed to locate and apprehend Mr. Daugherty without further incident. The chainsaw was secured, and Daugherty was subsequently arrested for commercial burglary.
